This partnership brings industry-leading voice and sound effect generation directly into Layer. To deliver audio that matches the speed and quality game teams expect, we’ve integrated directly with the ElevenLabs SDK. This lets us expose fine-grain controls to creators - including voice presets, speech speed, intonation, and more.

Because this is a native SDK integration (not an API call or wrapper), it also means generation is fast. Really fast. Most assets are ready in seconds and can be exported in multiple formats - ideal for testing, trailers, or in-game use.

We’re huge fans of what ElevenLabs has built - they’ve quickly set the industry standard for AI audio in games, film, and interactive media - and we’re excited to bring their capabilities into Layer in a way that fits seamlessly into creative pipelines.

What’s next for Audio in Layer?

This initial release is just the start, and we have big plans for audio generation on the platform.

As we expand our partnership with ElevenLabs, we’ll be bringing in more awesome functionality like the ability to create and use custom voices, and even train your own custom voice directly on Layer. This will be alongside new pre-trained models from Eleven Labs, adding more voice and sound effects options for different types of games.
